Few weeks ago we took a long road trip! We went to the beach for vacation. Us pups need vacations to unwind from all our walks, playing, and cat chasing. We had a blast!

We love to walk the beach, ride the waves, and chase a few gulls.

Puppy Plunge

We got to take the last plunge of the season at the local community pool. It was a fundraiser that benefited a local dog park. We got to meet lots of new dogs. We got a little overwhelmed by the size of some of the dogs. We seem to be the smallest dogs there. But we still managed to splish splash a bit. Preparing us for our beach trip.

Holiday Happenings

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! We were so busy, it was hard to find time to blog! We visited santa, helped bake cookies, and played with our kitty sisters. Along with opening the presents that santa left us!

Our one stray outdoor kitty Fiona disappeared for two weeks. We looked everywhere for her, and thought she was gone forever. She didn't want to stay inside. By some sort of Christmas miracle she came back one night! She was very hungry and appeared to be hurt. We nursed her back to health, and now she is finally staying inside! We don't want her to disappear again!

We had a good season and are waiting for some snow to play in (although mom isn't!)!

Exploring Our Hood

We went exploring and hiking at King's Gap State Park the other weekend. So close to our house, but we had never been there! Was very beautiful with the gardens, trails, views, and the mansion. We even got much loving and many pets from other hikers and the park rangers. We will have to go back and try out some more trails. There were quite a few photo ops along the way.

We went on a lovely road trip to the beach again a couple of weekends ago. This time we stayed in a house, because the hotel we were staying in no longer allows dogs as guests (hopefully not because of us!). It was a really lovely house, and we had lots of room. We loved running up and down the steps, and spreading out on the couches and beds. Unfortunately, a good part of the time it was pouring down raining. We spent one whole day chilling in bed, which was kind of nice, but we would have loved to spent the day on the beach. We did manage to get some beach time, take some lovely walks, and rode some waves! Road trip! We are always ready to go! Hopefully next time we see more sunshine!

Meet Lucy

The kitten and her momma that have been living in our back yard are still around. They both visited the vet, and mom said they got this thing called spayed. The momma cat didn't want to stay inside, but comes to visit us every day. Mom put a house outside for her in the meantime, so she is more comfortable outside. The kitten on the other hand doesn't want to go back outside. She has made herself at home and is enjoying her new world. She has been such a good kitten - using the litter box, scratching on the scratching toy, playing with her toys. Mom wasn't looking for another kitten, but she couldn't resist that cute kitten face, especially when she needed help. We have been welcoming her into the family.

Last of the Summer Puppy Plunge

Hope everyone had a good summer. It was a really hot summer, but we are getting some cooler weather now. Over the weekend, we went to an end of the summer event at the local pool. Since the pool is going to be closed for the season, the last day it was open went to the dogs. We were allowed to swim and play with other puppies. We were very good, and had a fun time! Most of the dogs that were there were bigger than us, so we hung out in the smaller pool. We managed to find some friendly people who had biscuits and kisses for us there too. What a great day, and a pawsome way to end the summer!

2nd Barkday

Yes we are 2 now!! Mom can't believe how fast her babies are growing up! We had a low keyed birthday celebration weekend (well low keyed for us). Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner, and we had cake!!

We also had a few treats, and some spa time.

Something else new going on. A momma cat and kitten have been hanging around in our yard. Mom isn't sure what to do for them. Right now she is just giving them food and water.

Hot in Harrisburg

Hey again, summer is just flying by! Last week was sooooo hot! We did our best to stay cool, but still keep our activities up as best as we could.

We take as many dips in the creek as we can. Although we still try to explore the park.

There were these strange birds that kept making noise at us. We were just checking them out.

This is the little baby bird we saw.....

This was mamma a little irritated we were near baby. Mom said they are called Killdeer.

We also saw this strange thing. Someone was walking a baby deer on a leash at the park. Still not sure what was going on there! We stayed back a bit, because we made it nervous. Never dull at our park!

We also helped making our favorite treats rice krispies, or as we call them RK.

We also had some strawberry sorbet to cool us down.

Next week is our birthday, wonder what will go on!

Hey!! Sorry, we haven't been around in a while. Time just flies by! Been doing our usual - playing, going to the park, chasing birds and chipmunks in the yard, getting loving. We did check out the new cafe that opened close to our park. They have FREE dog biscuits!!

We have been feeding the new ducklings at the lake too.

Mom has been playing hide-n-seek egg in the yard with us.

Lilly cat has been hanging in the back yard with us. Abby is trying to tell Lilly that catnip is wack, maybe she should give it up. Take up biscuits instead.

Anyway, looking forward to the fun summer ahead. Mom was talking about another road trip to the beach in the fall, but we will see!!

Dog Days of Spring

Last weekend we took some much needed r and r with moms at the beach. It's hard keeping up our daily activities every day - taking a walk in the park, playing in the yard, chasing birds, chewing on bones, napping. We definitely needed a spring getaway. Especially since this was the last weekend dogs were allowed on the beach and boardwalk, until fall. We needed to ride some waves and just hang 10.

We enjoyed checking out the boardwalk.

There was a kite festival at the beach. We did bark a "little" at the kites.

Abby went to get a lick of an ice cream cone, but decided to take a big bite. The evidence on her lips.

We also went to a few state parks in Delaware to do some hiking.

Part of the trail had us having to go across a board to go over a little stream. Abby ran across like a little daredevil. Aiden went across reluctantly, but in the end we all made it over!

It was nice after long days at the beach, boardwalk, and parks to have a nice hotel to crash in. We enjoyed our stay. Sadly this will be our last time staying at this hotel (a Hilton). They are changing their pet policy to no longer accept pets. It is quite a shame because there were also a lot of other dogs staying at the hotel along with us. Guess we will have to hunt for another nice place to stay. We had a great time though!!

Easter eggstravaganza

Last weekend we attended the Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by our friends The Furry Friends Network. The proceeds benefited other anipals. We had a barking good time!!! So much going on! Other dogs to meet & greet, eggs with goodies to find, and the Easter Bunny to bark at. We were very successful at finding the eggs with the biscuits in them. There were other eggs that had pieces of paper with numbers on them. We then could pick other goodies for these pieces of paper. Sooooo many goodies! Unfortunately mom had to bug us with these bunny ear things. We humored her and tried to get some goodies out of our basket. Aiden somehow found his way to help himself to some other dogs goodies in their basket sitting on the ground. All is fair in egg hunting I guess!

We even made another sheltie friend!!! We were so excited seeing another sheltie in the park. His name was Winston!

We then took a walk in our park after the egg hunt. Saw some cool stuff!

There were all these bull frogs making noises in a pond area.

Duck friends hanging out. We even saw the Merganser again! There was a lot of other birds and the blue heron even flew over. So much activity in the park - human and animal!

We had a really great day, and got lots of goodies. Hope our Furry Friends Network got lots of money to help out more animals.

Soggy Sunday

Well, all the snow is melted, but we have buckets of rain to deal with now. We tried to go to the park today, and got soaked again. Plus, our trail is now covered in water.

It was pretty cool at the park today though, we saw a new bird we never saw before!!

This is a hooded merganser! (mom had to look it up in her bird book).

But at least spring has sprung. Mom found that some of her flowers were blooming.

We have been playing out in the yard, rolling in the dirt. So much fun! Mom said we were a little too dirty, so we had to get a bath today. We were pretty much wet most of the day!

At least we are ready and clean now for the Easter Egg Hunt being held at our park next weekend.
It is going to be so much fun and it benefits our buddies at Furry Friends Network, who help out so many anipals.

Still Winter

Another week of winter and snow. Tried again this weekend to hit our park. Some roads have been opened into the park, but we still aren't able to do our normal trail. There were huge piles of snow for us to tackle, so at least we had something to have fun with.

We tried to help mom through the snow, but she held us down.

We were shocked this week too that Lilly ventured outside. Think she has a bit of spring fever.

Cabin Fever

We have had several big snows the past few weeks. We love the snow! Unfortunately, too much snow might not be such a good thing. Mom had to make us trails in our yard with the big snow blowing machine, cause we couldn't make it through the snow. Also, we haven't been able to go to our park every day like we normally do. It is full of snow, and we can't get through it!

So, we got out a little bit this weekend. Cabin fever was getting the best of us. Hopefully some of that white stuff melts so we can get back to our park. In the meantime at least we can play in our back yard.

Wacky Winter Weather

The weather has been impacting our playing activities the past week. We had lots of rain, then it got really cold, and this weekend we are suppose to get lots of snow. We really love snow though! Moms not so crazy about it, but they enjoy watching us playing in it.

We did manage to get to our favorite spots.

We had to go "off road" through the woods to avoid the ice pond. We didn't mind though, more sniffings.

Wii make resolutions!

Moms got one of those Wii fitness things for Christmas. We are doing our best to keep them motivated to reach their fitness goals. We try to make their skills and concentration better by playing around them, and making more obstacles. You know - like biting at their feet and kissing them when they are doing yoga poses. Not sure why they need one of those game things, we just run and play out in the yard. Look how trim and fit we are!! Anyway, they even made icons to represent us on the fitness program. Mom said they are monitoring how many biscuits we are allowed to have in a day this way. Lilly cat seems to hide whenever it comes to her time to be weighted on the Wii.

Hello everyone! Hope the holidays were a joyous season for everyone! We had a blast! Sorry we haven't blogged in a while. Been busy with all the festivities, playing in the snow, and our usual routine.

We have been getting a lot of snow lately, more so than we did last winter. We have been enjoying it immensely, although moms don't seem to have the same joy about it we do.

Christmas was very wonderful. Lots of new toys, time for sharing, and cuddles.

Grandma and Grandpa even came over and brought us some presents. We gave them kisses.

We even had time to check out the Christmas tree in our favorite lake, and feed some of the birds some bread.

We are getting ready for the holiday season. Went to visit santa to give him our wish list. Santa was very nice to us, gave us love and biscuits!

This weekend we had a lotta snow come down! Had fun outside playing in it!

Moms stayed at home this weekend and baked cookies. We got to taste test a few.
Can't wait until next weekend for the big Christmas holiday!!

Clearance Sucks!

Been a while since we blogged, although we have been very busy. Few weeks ago we went Outlet shopping with Grandma. We got so much love from all the shoppers, especially all the kids. Moms were still able to spend too much money, even though we were along. Had a great time! We think Clearance Sales suck though. Mom was able to find left over halloween costumes to torture us with. Just because they were $1 a piece, doesn't mean you should have bought them!

Hope she loses them until next year!

We also went back to visit the lake. This time we feed some of the birds bread. We tried getting a few bites ourselves.

Still going to the park, exploring. We love to jump in the creek.

We also helped mom make us some rice krispy treats (you know, like the ones we like at Starbucks!). We supervised and was quality control. Also helped mom clean her hands off and clean the pan out.

Moms were worried about Aiden. His elbow started making a clicking sound sometimes when he walked. After going to the vet, she said it was probably a stretched ligament and should heal in a few weeks with the help of some supplements. Doesn't seem to slow the little boy down. Good news is that Aiden lost a pound and a half! Last time we were at the vet she said he had some chunky monkey on him. Now he is just a little monkey, with a clicky elbow.

Adventures at the Lake

Two weekends ago we took at little adventure to a place close to home. We explored the Children's Lake in Boiling Springs. We have driven by it hundreds of times, but never really stopped to check it out! Definitely always see lots of interesting birds and animals hanging out. Actually, just this week someone posted on the local news site seeing a bald eagle! cumberlink Unfortunately, we didn't get to see that this time, but we did see a lot of other things!!

We also crossed the road and checked out this area with an old iron furnace.

It was such a beautiful place. Hopefully we can explore some more there. Looking forward to new adventures this weekend!

Road Trip!! Part 3

Last installment on the saga of our road trip. Have to talk about some of the other places we went to and our adventures, while we were at the beach.

We did a tour of the boardwalk in Ocean City MD. Saw lots of other doggies, visited the K9cafe, and tried to eat smashed french fries like the seagulls. Yep, all around fun!

This was a really cool garden at the park. Someone put a lot of work into this!

Road Trip!! Part 2

Along with enjoying the beach, we got to stay in a hotel for the first time. We did really well, and behaved. Moms were really proud. We rode the elevator like pros, even saw other dogs! Here we thought we were the only ones in the hotel! We helped moms get Starbucks in the hotel lobby. The man at the sliding doors seem to love us, he petted us when we came in and out. We made ourselves at home in the hotel room.

Road Trip!! Part 1

Last weekend moms took us on a long road trip. We weren't sure what was going on, being in the car longer than we normally are. We stopped and took a pee break at Burger King, got to nibble on some yummy fries while we had an impromptu picnic under a tree. We saw other doggies taking road trips too. We were really good travelers, slept part of the time and just went with the flow. Everywhere we stopped we got loving on the way.

Finally!!! We made it to the beach. Not sure what to make of it at first. This sand stuff, we had to sniff and run through. Then we digged, look at this stuff fly!! Wait, what, what is this moving water stuff. Birds, chase these birds! Kites flying, so much going on!

We loved it! By the time we had to come home, we were jumping in the waves, running the beach, and loving the sand!

Gettin Ready

Moms keep saying that we are going to this beach place this weekend. Not sure what that is, but they keep saying it is sorta like the creek but bigger. Apparently, we are going for a long ride in the car to get to this beach. Should be an adventure for everyone.

Still having a grand old time, even though summer is winding down. But we always have fun!! Taking advantage of the nice weather.

Our Funky Collars

When we are out and about, and even on our blog, we get asked what kind of collars are we wearing.

Our dog trainer Max of Alpha Dog recommended using them.

They are actually the collars Cesar Millan and his wife created. Illusion Collar

We have done really well withe these collars. Moms have been able to control our behavior and the collars help us stop pulling, etc. We were not too thrilled when they were first put on, but we adjusted!

Treat Thursday

Just a quickie. Moms had a special day off from work today to run some errands. Still had some time to spend time with us. We went for our regular jaunt in the park, and did a run through the creek. Only saw these pretty yellow finches today. They were enjoying some of the wild flowers.

After the walk we went shopping at Petsmart.

Turtles, snakes, kitties, and shelties...oh my!

Great fun this weekend. After the park on Saturday, we went to Petsmart to get some of our favorite liver treats. We got some major loving at the store. We also saw some kitties needing new homes. Gave them a good sniffing over. We walked up the shopping area to Starbucks. We chilled outside in the cafe area while mom went inside to get us refreshments. We got some pets and more loving from other Starbuck customers. We also had a yummy lemonade/strawberry frozen drinky to cool us down, plus we had a few bites of mom's rice krispy treaty. Yum! We hope to do this every weekend!

At the park we saw a snake at the creek bank! Yikes! Mom jumped more than the snake when we saw it. We also saw a cool turtle who was just chilling.

Lilly cat has been hanging in the back yard with us in the evenings. Very cool! She never has come outside before, but has been exploring her world (mostly on the back porch!).

Most evenings she doesn't want to come inside now. New world.....that is until winter sets in probably!

Had another great weekend. We went to the park today as usual, but we had some extra fun. We walked down by the creek at a part we usually don't walk past. We discovered that there was a path way down to the creek, so we explored. Did a little frolicking in the creek. We had fun!!

Poor Lilly cat had to go to the vet this weekend for her yearly check up. She did really well, but they had to take blood from her and she got a shot. So, we were extra nice to her this weekend.

Mom bought her a new catnip toy, because she was such a good kitty. Not sure why we couldn't play with it, but mom kept telling us to give it back to Lilly.

The toy was a dog named "dofus dog". Hum, was this kitty's idea of irony?

Abby was trying to help mom fold the laundry. She is such a good girl!

Saturday on the way to the park mom opened the front car door, before the back door. Aiden jumps right in the front! He called shotgun!! Um, Aiden you ride in the back! But mom is a sap and couldn't move the little boy.

He seem to enjoy his front seat ride!

Next day Abby said it was her turn to call shutgun!

Couple weeks ago we were taking our usual walk in the park. This man approached us with a camera and asked if he could take some pictures of us. He was from the local newspaper, and was just taking some lifestyle shots to feature in the paper. Of course we were up for it! We are always up for anything!! But moms weren't too keen because they had their "park gear" on. They played good sports though. We walked up and down the trail, while he followed us around. He even got on the ground, and we proceeded to love him up. He then asked us if we saw anything else interesting in the park that day. Moms pointed out the kids tubing in the creek. He thanked us and went to check out the kids. We kinda forgot about it, until someone told mom at work that our picture was in the paper!!

We are famous!!! (well maybe in the park)....ahhh wait, there is one problem. Um, where is Abby??
Oh yeah, she is the feet behind Aiden. Once again, big brother trying to outshine is little sister. Taking all the attention and limelight.

We have had quite a few people stop us in the park to tell us they saw our picture in the paper. Aiden might have to do a paw print session for all his fans.

Slushy Bath Time Fun

We had quite another busy weekend. We had a walk in the park on Saturday, then we went to a new place called DQ. We had a new thing called a slushy. It was pretty good and cooled us down. Although we like Rita's Italian Ice better.

Today we had another nice walk in the park. We had fun chasing the butterflies.

Then we had the spa treatment. Bath, nails, brushing.

We tried to help each other dry off then.

Mom said we had to get a bath before we could sleep in our new crate beds.

On our walk in the park this weekend we walked up upon this..

It was just hanging out by the creek. We checked it out for a bit and moved on.
Wondered if it was lost from the rest of it's flock. Odd to see one Canadian goose by itself.

We saw this creature too by the creek, liked it's pretty colors.

Abby and Aiden's 1st Birthday Bash

Last weekend we celebrated Abby and Aiden's 1st birthday. Grandma and grandpa came over. We had cake, and open presents. It was one of the bestest days ever!!!

Fair at the Park

We went for our usual walk in the park today, and there was a whole lotta activity. Apparently, there was some sort of park fair going on. So, we joined in and took a jaunt around the festivities. We got some loving along with some Rita's Italian Ice - our favorite!

They had the police helicopter there and big fire trucks, etc. We even got to see the big copter take off!

This nice man stopped and asked about us. He bent down and gave us some loving.

Getting ready for a busy weekend. Just wanted to catch up on stuff we should have blogged about.

Aiden was lucky enough to find a toy at the park. We think it was a human baby's toy, but it had a squeaker in it. So, we claimed it for canine kind. (probably baby wouldn't want it back after it had been slobbered on through the park). Score for Aiden!

Manic Monday

We had a busy weekend, and it spilled over into our Monday.

Helped mom wrap (or was it unwrap) grandma's birthday gift.

Who started it?? Guess anything on the floor is fair game huh?

Had a lot of fun at the park! We saw a lovely collie dog who was happy to make our acquaintance. Their humans loved over us too. We also saw other life in the park. We spotted the blue heron, but mom was unable to get a picture because it flew away so quickly. We haven't been able to get a good shot at it yet.

We did see this creature too. It was hanging in our path.

Oh, and there was a black snake that mom screamed at when she saw it. Of course no picture of that either.

Tonight while out playing the cardinal came to visit.

We also got really hungry from all the hard playing.

Aiden tried a taste of Abby, but she didn't think it was a good idea. So, we went inside then for some kibble.

Hey everyone! We have been busy just loving life. Still working on our obedience, but finding time to just chill in the back yard.

Alpha Dog Obedience

Sorry we haven't blogged in a while. Mom was under the weather (more like the weather got under her).

We had a training sessions last weekend with Max from Alpha Dog Obedience Training.

He came to help us with our walking on a leash (without pulling) and our barking problems (barking at everything!).
The session went very well. Max taught moms how to walk us and communicate what is expected of us. By the end of the session we were sitting out by the road and not barking at the cars. Our walks in the park have gone well also. No more barking at cars and bicycles, nor do we pull. We will keep on working on our lessons!!

We have also been really bonding with Lilly cat. Everyone seems to be living harmoniously finally! Lilly has come back out of her shell and been mingling with the puppies.

Another Sunday in the Park

We had another lovely weekend visiting the park.

Saw some new birdlife:

grey catbird (at least that is what we think from our birds in PA book)

killdeer (there is a nest of babies in the park)

our old pal the tree swallow in it's nesting birdhouse

our duckie friends, they let us get pretty close to them before they flew off

For Reilly, we found a pee-mail place!

Problem was - mom tried to get a good picture, but there was a soccer game going on and our focus was a bit hard to capture.

Green Feet Friday

All that rain made the grass grow like mad. Finally stopped raining to do some yard work. By yard work, we mean barking at mom and "herding" the lawn mower. Now we are soooooooooo tired......

It has been raining, raining, and more raining for days now! Seems like months. We are soon going to wash away. We have been squeaking in a walk or two between the rain drops. Play outside until we get soaked. Mom keeps wrestling us with the towel. We are going stir crazy though......

Bath Trauma

It was such a warm and wonderful day today. We went to the park as usual.

We also went to petsmart to pick up some beauty supplies. Something was mentioned about a bath, but we weren't sure what that was. We were tired from the hot day at the park. Earlier in the week we had some fun rolling in the mud after the rain, and on Friday after the grass was cut we became leprechauns after doing some pro wrestling in the nice wet grass. So, mom said we were very dirty puppies. This is the result....

Do I look thrilled??

Over all we were traumatized, but survived. Got the full spa treatment - shampoo, nails, trimming, brushing. Mom said something about wishing she was treated so well. Our crate beds are freshly clean smelling too. We will see how long all this clean stuff lasts.

Sorry we haven't blogged for a while. Mom was an idiot and left her camera at grandma and grandpa's house last weekend. So, she couldn't blog about the horses and the herd of deer we saw at the park last weekend. Plus, we were busy playing in the snow showers this week and finishing some gardening in the evenings.

Anyway, the herd of deer at the park, we saw again!!

I wonder how scared that woman was! We were just getting into the car to go home after our walk.

We had a good easter, our first baskets!!

Mom had to torture us with the bunny ears, we weren't impressed.

Even Lilly wasn't immune!

We are hoping that next weekend that cousin Connor will come over to play!

This week would have been Liam's 13th birthday. Our first without him. I still can't believe he has been gone, almost as long as Abby and Aiden have been on this earth. Miss him every day.

He was my sheltie puppy, and always will be.

Abby the Assassin's Wrestling Tips

We had a pretty good weekend. Weather was nice, so we spent most of it outside. Mom was working in the garden again, and we helped a bit with digging and redistributing the tan bark. In between our gardening duties, we found some time to do some friendly wrestling.

Abby thinks her technic for putting her brother Aiden in a headlock should be studied for it's perfect form:

pin him down

go for the complete headlock by putting your hind legs into the fur grab

while he is down, make sure to tickle him for full affect

always be on the defense, and don't let him get a leg up, er in the mouth

Aiden says...I let her win. How else can I have some fun?

We saw a new bird at the park this weekend. A tree swallow. From our research, this is one of the first swallows to migrate back during spring. New bird to us! This one followed up through the park for quite a while!

Warm Wednesday

Mom came home from work on time (for once) to enjoy the warm weather. She has been working on cleaning out the flower beds in the back yard. We helped a bit, especially chasing the birds away. That was in between frisbie tug and hide n seek. We got to finish off the rest of the rita's italian ice, since it was nice and warm.

Recovery and spring

This has been a big week for us. Moms have been stressing for weeks about it, but it is finally done and we are doing well! We finally got spayed and new ters (as Ludo puts it). First two days we were pretty sleepy, but we are pretty perky now. Aiden is really ready to go full force, but Abby isn't quite up to speed yet. They are both doing well though. We took a short walk yesterday in the park. We also had Rita's Italian Ice after the walk, and it tasted really good! Today we went for an even longer walk. Our booboos look really good mom says, only Abby has to go back to get her stitches out next week.

Wow, what a busy weekend! We went to the park as usual. Yesterday it was sunny, and we saw some robins in the park. Isn't this a sign of spring?

Today we went to the park, and we saw a herd of deer!!!

It also snowed this morning, so we got to run in the yard through that. Guess spring is a little ways off, even with the robin sightings.

Plus, we did some chilling too.

Weeee! The fence guys finally came today!! Part of it is already up, they said they should be done tomorrow!

Tore up the yard a bit, but I guess that is to be expected. Been a little wet out lately! Suppose to rain/snow tomorrow, so hopefully they can finish it. We want to run! (seems smaller than we expected, but will be nice to run and go out with out our collars on. Mom said we can hang outside when they are in the pool too! Fencing is expensive apparently!)

This would be why we need a fence. Leash burn. It ain't pretty!

Oh at the park this weekend we saw a red bellied woodpecker. He sure was making some strange noises.

We are watching Westminster with mom tonight. Well, more like we are napping now after fighting over the same bone, and mom is watching it. We did enjoy the sheltie last night in the herding group, but think that the collie should have really won. At least the pekingese didn't win this year, is that really a dog?

Abby had lost her name tag with her address somewhere last week. Well today, she got mail! Someone was kind enough to return it to her. Addressed to: Abby the dog.

At least it was just her name tag and not Abby that was lost! Luckily next week we are getting a fence - yeahhhhhhh!!

We quite like snow. Fun to run, roll and eat. Ice not so nice. Well, we enjoy eating it, but walking on it can be a challenge. We are certainly up for it! Park here we come!!

Another day in the park...

Not much has been going on. Still going for our walks in the park, and working on our obedience commands. Been a few misadventures in the cat litter box. We just can't seem to help ourselves, even when we have been scolded. We have been doing pretty good with our commands at the park. All things in time, huh? We are getting closer to getting our fence at home. Moms got a price quote, that they might be able to swing.

Snow Day?

Today we were suppose to get a bunch of snow. Snow day! But, guess it wasn't meant to be, which is still a good thing. We still managed to get our walk in today, and got to play with the little bit of the snow that did fall. This evening we are getting freezing rain and are cozy inside. Hopefully tomorrow morning it thaws out quickly so we can still get out run in the park without sliding.

This morning we also helped mom make her bed. We both are very nimble now at jumping up on the bed.

We had a good run in the park, and got to see a lot of birds today.

We are getting so big!

When we go walking in the park every day, we happen to see some of the same people. They keep making comments on how big we are getting! Look at those puppies grow! Aiden is now able to jump up on the bed with Abby. Lilly cat now has no where to hide, but we seem to be getting along a little better. Sometimes we even take a nap on the same bed (as long as we keep our distance).

We definitely are still puppies though. Everything is fun and games. Wrestling, chasing hide and seek....

Christmas Finally!

Bad mommies waited until New Year's day to have us open our Christmas presents. We weren't quite sure what this activity was all about. Aiden really took to ripping the wrapping paper. Abby wasn't quite sure what to make of it all. In the end, they enjoyed playing with all their new toys, and eating the yummy cookies. Probably wouldn't mind doing it again.

Our Beginnings

The breeder of Aiden and Abby was kind enough to email me pictures of the litter, mom and dad, and pictures of Aiden and Abby as very young puppies. It is amazing how much they have changed just over the past couple of weeks! So cute as a button. Mom and dad are beautiful. They were born from a litter of 11!! Pictures for the scrap book!

Growing Up Sheltie

We continue to take our daily walks in the park. It has been really rainy lately. So, the walks can turn really soggy or icy - depending on the temperature!! Of course the ponds of ice and water really fascinate us puppies.

Since we still don't have our fenced in yard, little substitute run for now. While at the park, we take a run around the enclosed tennis courts. Still haven't quite got the concept of throwing the ball...and then returning it! But, we are trying and having fun!

Aiden seemed to like the bed in Abby's Diva Den. On his "out of crate time" he would spend it sleeping in her crate. So mom Lisa had to spoil little boy with the same fleece bed.

Bad moms still haven't let us open our Christmas gifts yet. We did get some new toys from Aunt Lora and just some "spoil us toys".

Busy Weekend

We went on Saturday for some more puppy shots at the vet. We were both very good puppies and took our shots without a whimper. Aiden now weights almost 24 pounds, and Abby almost 19 pounds. Abby gained the most in the past three weeks, she is almost catching up to Aiden. The vet said they are both doing very well, and are right on target for everything. Their fur is really starting to fill in, soon be a full blown sheltie fur ball. After the vet we went for our usual walk in the park. This time we saw a pillated woodpecker. New bird! Never saw one of these in the flesh. We got a really far away, blurry picture of it:

Past Christmas

I found this video from last year's Christmas. The last Christmas Liam was with us. Didn't ever dream it would be his last, or he wouldn't be here for this Christmas. He always loved ripping open gifts, and was truly like a kid. I suspect the Aiden and Abby will enjoy it as much.

When we were at the vet over the weekend for more puppy shots, we pulled up to see some people in an SUV. At first I wasn't sure what these people were doing, but apparently they were saying their last goodbyes to their beloved dog. Brought a tear to my eye. I felt so bad for them.

Visiting Santa

We went to visit santa the other week after our walk in the park at Petsmart. We were very good puppies, and waited patiently in line for our turn to see santa. When it was our turn we sat very nicely on santa's lap and posed for out picture. Santa even got some kisses from us. Hopefully he brings us what we want for Christmas.....(maybe a fence to run in if we are really good). While we waited for our picture to be processed, we got a peanut butter biscuit. Very yummy!
